Did someone say "Winter winds?"

Although 40 degrees is melting the snow
and ice for all you spring lovers out there,
the winds with it seem angry at the least.

The ice rink(pond) is melting into a pool
and the shores are taking a good beating
from the choppy swell.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY TONIGHT AND THURSDAY NIGHT...
.TONIGHT...SE WIND 30 KT. SEAS 5 FT. RAIN.
.THU...S WIND 20 KT. SEAS 3 FT.
If it would blow more East than West on
our street, my work truck would stay on
the berm where I park it. I decided to take
some precautions to ensure the neighbor's
car across the road wouldn't wear it
over the course of a restful evening.
Secure the hatches, crew - and hope that
we make it out of the storm alive!

sorry - still, nothing flies or blows up

We are having a beautiful winter spring, water running off the house, the snow is soft, did not freeze last night and no wind. Going to break out the garden tools this weekend. Birds have even slowed down on their eating patterns, our normal crowd of 456 various species has declined to 325 as of noon today. A few eagles soaring on the currents over the yard could have something to do with it. Good thing you got a three point tie down on the work truck, would hate to see it end up at the end of the cul de sac.

Winds are down this morning. The scarecrow is a little thinner, but still here. Now, I just need to pull anchor and go to work.
