The small - but, beautiful - ice rink we started just after Thanksgiving is now skateable. D tried it out last night. Yes, that's her cousin on the ice - and, no, she's not down for the count. Although small, it will serve the kids well while at home. The last few days temp has been in the 30's, and the last coat of water froze slow and flat. Could only have a better finish with a Rink Rake(gift hint, maybe). Even the Dachsund, Lily, likes it. Next year, it could be bigger (depending on what 1,000 gallons melting into the spring soup does for the yard).
5 opinionated prattle:
Hey, your site is working much better and looks good. I finally got to see the lights on your house, when did you add the garage on the other end? You skating rink looks fun, lights and all! I wonder if I could do my male review show on ice? If we used your back yard rink, we could divide the gate recfeipts at 50% and I would giuve you 25% of my tips. I bet we could pack the back yard.

Bingo - I got a double posting even using WV after getting a error reading on the first one - just adding to your counter buddy.
Thanks for the numbers, pal. I know an old lady (80) next door who would break out her 1's and 5's for you. I would be staying with my sister - or, somewhere - but you can pay me 25% of the tips.
Your backyard rink is awesome JD! What a great dad you are.
