Lake fish can live a lot longer than previously believed. Some lakes are as easy to drive to as fly.
Many varieties of fish can make you think more of falling through the January ice in Homer, Alaska! Some fish stay almost dormant to conserve energy until food is present.
This Paddlefish would have been a new world record if not for Beluga Lake slough runs in mid-September.
2 opinionated prattle:
After reviewing your counter and seeing how many hits you get, I do wish you would have kept Beluga Lake a secret, there is only a handful of us that know what really exists in this lake. Now that you have published it, the lake is going to look like the Little Hamlet Fishing Hole. I bet that if you watch the LA paper, Greg Medred will be doing an a fishing report on it - I just hope the "tourists" don't discover the April Red Salmon Run!
We are all aware that tourism is the main income of the little "Hamlet by the sea" and it would be good for ADFG (together with FAA, of course - seeing this is a controlled airway) to do some test-seining, and maybe stock Beluga Lake with more fish that would co-habitate with the known life there as it could prolong lifecycles of rare species.

leave a worthless thought for me
whether cool, or fun, or sick.
