Our friend, Chelsea, passed on last night after the life support was turned off.
A hospital "mediator" seemed to believe that (because her brain was functional) she could hear us and understand - but not respond or react to anything. We went to visit them about 4 pm, yesterday. Her family had a line of visitors waiting down the hallway to see her. It is powerful to see so many combine their love and care to one thing. We have only to be thankful for the time we had with this person on earth, and live as if every breath could be our last. While in her room ( in ICU) I told her to find my sister and say hi...

How powerful - to have a chance to say goodbye...

If you feel the incessant urge,
and your tongue is sharp and quick,
leave a worthless thought for me
whether cool, or fun, or sick.
