However, you also have to consider the "sheet rock screw" as another great inovation. These great screws will eventually replace hammers - most likely more of these screws are sold for wood working projects rather than their original intent to hang sheet rock. Give me some sheet rock screws, a power drill and a few boards and I can entertain myself all day. Make a mistake, reverse the drill, remove the screw and start over. No more bent over nails. I have boards in my "dunnage pile" that has as many as 43 holes in them from mistakes that I have made. However, to penetrate the wood easier, I have learned that if you spray the screw with WD40, it will screw in easier. If the boards that are are trying to mate are still loose after inserting a half dozen screws, bind them together with duct tape.
